Installation

The dampers are designed to suit most fire doors or can be installed into a fire resistant wall or partition. Simply cut a hole in the door or wall to give a tight fit around the damper. A bead of intumescent mastic should be placed around the perimeter of the damper, between damper and timber or damper and masonry wall, to seal the surrounds.

The dampers can be fixed into position with hardwood beading or steel flanges. Faceplates to provide an aesthetic finish are also available in a range of sizes to suit square or rectangular dampers.

When used within H&V ductwork, pipes, etc. The damper should be positioned on the centre line of the fire barrier and a bead of intumescent mastic should be placed around the perimeter of the damper, between damper and ductwork/pipe to seal the surrounds and then secured in position with self-tapping screws.

In all cases the dampers are not load bearing and adequate support must be provided.

Health & Safety

The product does not present any known health hazards during or after installation.

Normal good industrial and personal hygiene practises should be observed.
