Description

A mixture of inorganic binders, lightweight aggregates and additives in a free flowing powder, off white in colour. It contains no fibres, asbestos and is halogen free.

Supplied as a dry powder it is mixed with water to produce a pourable or trowelable consistency. After mixing the product expands slightly creating a fire and smoke seal around pipes and cables.

Application

Can provide a load bearing fire and smoke seal around service penetrations in walls and floors, subject to depth of compound and opening size.

Openings up to 900mm x 600mm normally need no additional reinforcement for light foot traffic use [1.5kN/m²], as well as slots up to 300mm wide of infinite length. For larger opening use steel reinforcement, contact technical department for further details.

Availability

Supplied in 20kg bags.

HD Shuttering Slabs: 1200mm x 600mm x 50mm.

To obtain a trowelable consistency, mix with water in ratio 3 parts powder to 1 part water.

For a pourable consistency, mix with water in ratio 2 parts powder to 1 part water.

Use trowelable consistency for wall penetrations and pourable consistency for floor openings, first forming a shutter to restrain the material until set - please refer to installation instructions for further details.

Important Notice

If plastic pipes, etc. pass through the compound an intumescent pipe collar/wrap should be fitted to provide the required fire rating. Further information available.
