Flexible PUR foam impregnated with a fire resistant (DIN4102, Teil 1, Class B1) polymeric dispersion, suitable for internal or external draught & weather sealing applications. Supplied in pre-compressed rolls with a self-adhesive backing on one face, the product is inserted into the gap where it expands to form a seal. The degree of compression# in situ determines the effectiveness of the seal.

Storage, Handling, Application

Store rolls horizontally between +5ºC and +25ºC in dry conditions. Shelf life 12 months.

No special surface preparation or primers are required but contact surfaces must be clean of dust, dirt, loose matter, grease or oils. Care must be taken not to stretch the material especially at joints or around bends and corners. A continuous seal can be provided by forming taper lap joints or on thin sections by simply overlapping material.

The material will begin to expand gradually according to temperature. If required, the rate of recovery may be delayed by cooling in a freezer immediately prior to installation. Alternatively, the recovery can be accelerated by warming the material (after INSTALLATION) using an indirect heat source.

Health and Safety

The product is not regarded as having any significant associated hazards. No special precautions are necessary but the use of gloves is recommended during handling and installation of the product.

Normal good industrial and personal hygiene practises should be observed.
